The Atlas mill doesn''t have the brute strength of a Burke 4 because it is more delicate type.

This Bridgeport EZ TRAK DX II Milling Machine was produced in 2001 in the United States and has been operative for approximately 23000 production hours. With a Bridgeport BPC2M Control unit, this model offers a big table size, a high power spindle and has been inspected frequently.
There is not much different on this machines than other of the Atlas mills. The gear train in the table feed might be the one area to inspect closely to make sure there is no damage or undue wear. The rest of the machine is subject to the normal checks you would do with any mill for wear, backlash or slop in the various movements.

That can also damage the table (and a lot of other stuff). edit: dethmachine, there were a couple companies back in the day that made a vertical attachment for this mill, but oddly Atlas .
